Quick Quotes
Q. What clicked yesterday? What was really good about yesterday?
GEMMA DRYBURGH: Everything was pretty solid, to be honest. Hit it very good off the tee, putted well, hit it kind of close, as well. So everything was kind of firing yesterday. Just played very solid really.
Q. And then you get up early, you come to this course, which is a different challenge. Tell us about today.
GEMMA DRYBURGH: Yeah, so it was a different challenge, like you said. It was a bit different to when we played the practice round on Tuesday, because we've had a bit of rain, so it wasn't quite as bouncy as what we expected from Tuesday. Yeah, it was good. Hit it well again. Had a few more bogeys -- I went bogey-free yesterday so I had a few more bogeys today, but I had a few birdies, as well, so it was still a good round.
Q. Do you like the format where you sort of say here's a certain type of golf course, play that, and then come and play a different type of golf course?
GEMMA DRYBURGH: Yeah, it's a good challenge. It feels like you're starting again almost, like it's a new tournament. But you've just got to do the same thing and just roll with the punches really.
Q. You're in contention; that's good, isn't it.
GEMMA DRYBURGH: Yes, it's always a good thing. I like to get that experience in and be up there at the top, so hopefully have a good weekend.
Q. Tell us about the past history then; I think there's been top 10s, may not have been victories. How important it is to get across that line?
GEMMA DRYBURGH: Yeah, it would mean so much to win on the LET or the LPGA. Obviously we've got a two-for-one this week, so that would be good. But yeah, it would mean everything to me. It would be amazing to get a win this week, but I'm not putting my pressure on myself.
Q. You shouldn't do, but if you get a decent result, you get a better ranking and your playing rights expanded; tell us about how that works.
GEMMA DRYBURGH: Yeah, exactly, so this year I've been struggling for starts over on the LPGA. I've started six events, but had to play Monday qualifiers and all that. If you play well you can get reranked and that means a lot, so you get into more events and more opportunities. So that would be amazing really to get a top 10 or anything up there.
Q. It's nice to be back in the UK, isn't it?
GEMMA DRYBURGH: It's lovely. Yeah, it's really good. It's not quite a home crowd but close enough. Yeah, it's good to be in the UK.
