Q. You had to get up early, 25 past 8:00, you stand on the 10th tee, and what happened on the 10th?

JORDAN SMITH: I think I was still half asleep. No, we plugged it in the bunker short right, and it was right under the lip, and caught it a bit thin and went over the back and didn't get up-and-down, so it wasn't the best of starts. But we knew there were plenty of opportunities for the rest of the course, so just had to hang in there and you get all sorts of bounces out here on this course because it's obviously playing firm and stuff, so you've got to stay with it.

Q. And you did hang in there, and it was a nice finish, wasn't it.

JORDAN SMITH: Yeah, no, I started playing some decent golf finally for the last six holes or so, so it was nice to finish with a couple of birdies and get around under par.

Q. Are you getting back to sort of that form where you were winning? Are you close to that?

JORDAN SMITH: Yeah, I'd say everything is going in the right direction. Yeah, I think you're not going to continue trending at that sort of rate that I did when I first sort of came out on Tour. Yeah, I think just getting a bit of confidence back yesterday was a lot of that, so I think get a few good rounds under my belt, a few good tournaments and the confidence will be back, and it's amazing what a bit of confidence can do.

Q. It's kind of where you want to be halfway; you may not be leading but you're really in contention.

JORDAN SMITH: Yeah, that's the main thing. You've just got to get yourself in position ready for Saturday and Sunday around Galgorm. Yeah, it's going to be exciting.
