Q. How was it out there today?

LEXI THOMPSON: We had a bit of an up-and-down day, but we stuck to the same game plan as the first day because we thought it went well. We just were all over the lips with the putts. It was a matter of a few dropping, which she putted amazing today.

Yeah, it was overall a good day. 1-under with alternate-shot, you can't really complain about it.

Q. I really liked the song you picked; how did you pick it?

LEXI THOMPSON: I don't know. We were in between a few and I sent them over to her. She's like, I like them both, and I'm like, Okay, we'll go with country. We're in Michigan, country, so I figured people would like it, too.

Q. Back to four-ball tomorrow. Yesterday Nasa went first every tee shot and you went aggressively. What's your thought for tomorrow?

LEXI THOMPSON: Same game plan. I think it worked really well for us. Yesterday she went off on every tee, got them down the fairway, so that way I could play nice and aggressive, especially on a few of the drivable holes, take driver and play aggressively.

I think it just freed us up, but I want her to play her own game and how she does. She makes a lot of birdies, but it frees me up to go at a lot of pins and take more drivers.
