Quick Quotes
MARIA FASSI: ...the holes where we were able to be a little more aggressive, and then we kept playing -- kept being patient, kept playing easy golf, and I think it really paid off today.
We made some good pars, and it was great. The conditions weren't the easiest with the wind swirling at times and changing on us quite a bit, but very happy with today's round, and I'm very excited for where we stand for tomorrow.
Q. You're right in contention; there's got to be a little enthusiasm going into the final round.
MARIA FASSI: Yeah, we were joking, we're due some birdies to drop. We've hit some great putts and we haven't seen many of them drop. I think it's good to go into Sunday -- Saturday, I guess, with the course owing us a little bit.
I think it's going to be a great round for us to keep doing what we've been doing all week, and hopefully we can see some more putts drop, and I think it could be very good.
Q. Yesterday you were very open and honest about almost taking a master class out here with Stacy. How has your thinking changed and the strategy changed since you've been out here with her?
MARIA FASSI: I think it's just more of trusting that I have the shots and understanding that -- especially with wet conditions and with the wind, hitting it a little bit lower and with less spin is a better shot, and understanding that, like I said, playing easy golf ends up paying in the long run.
For me it's just been pretty cool to see how that works and how that actually can be very beneficial for my game, but at the same time it's been great to see that I'm able to adapt to those situations and learn from what she's trying to teach me. It's been amazing.
On 18 today she hugged me and she's like, Hey, I'm really proud of you, kid. I'm like, I'm going to start crying here so you've got to give me a minute now.
It's been amazing to learn from her and get to share this experience with her.
