Q. Yuxin, thank you for joining us. You've earned your place in The Open Championship by winning the Asia Pacific Amateur Championship. You're playing in your first Open and you've made the cut. Talk to us about how the experience has been for you.

YUXIN LIN: I mean, it's just an unbelievable feeling to make the cut at a major championship. It's been a dream come true for me. I've dreamed about this since I was a little kid. It's just an unbelievable feeling.

This week it's been unbelievable for me. Just can't believe that I can be here competing with the best in the world.

Q. Playing with a major champion in Sergio Garcia and Scottie Scheffler who is been playing so well today, what was it like to be in the same group as them?

YUXIN LIN: I mean, I was just really pleased to play with those two guys. They're obviously two really good guys and we had a lot fun out there. We played some good golf as a group. You know, just really enjoyed that experience.

Then hopefully we can play some more good golf on the weekend.

Q. And you Matthias Schmid are amateurs to have made the cut. Do you now start looking at the silver medal as the low amateur and trying to win that over the weekend?

YUXIN LIN: I think the big thing is just to stick to my game plan of just play some good golf and see what happens. Matthias is also a good friend of mine. We were actually teammates to the Palmer Cup so know each other really well. Just happy for both of us making the cut the week.

It's a big achievement for both of us.
