Quick Quotes
Q. Yesterday we talked about how your first match you were down the whole time. Today you were up big. How did that change your vibe out there?
BAILEY DAVIS: It was a lot less stressful today for sure. During my first match I got off to a solid start and I was up the entire time. I think the worst I was was 1-up the whole time, so it was pretty calm, and I didn't really have to do much. I kind of just had to stay steady.
And then this match, she didn't play the best. I know Camille is a really good player, but I knew the way she was playing, I kind of just had to stay steady and I knew I would be in it.
Q. The way things ended yesterday, what was in your head when you were going to bed?
BAILEY DAVIS: I was kind of trying to put everything behind me yesterday. You know, a lot of people came up to me and congratulated me, said, Wow, that was amazing this morning, but I really wanted to put that match aside because I didn't play the best and I kind of just wanted a fresh start for today.
Q. It's a long way and we're a lot of the way through it. What is working well with your game?
BAILEY DAVIS: I think I'm doing well when my opponent is in trouble. I'm not going on top of that trouble. I'm able to stay steady and stick with my game. No matter what they're doing, I'm sticking to my game plan.
My tee shots have been very good. My putting has been okay. I can definitely make some more putts. I think I'm going to need to tomorrow, but overall I've just been able to stay consistent.
Q. Did you get the $500?
BAILEY DAVIS: No. That is -- no. He offered, and I said absolutely not. I don't even think that's allowed. It was definitely just a joke.
