Q. Talk about being friends with Amari and playing her today.

ROSE ZHANG: Yeah, when we saw our pairing, we were like, oh, I guess we are playing with each other, and we were right across from each other just hanging out with our friends in the locker room. There wasn't any tension, and Amari and I go way back in SCPGA Junior Tour. I feel really comfortable around here, and I'm sure she does feel the same.

It was just a great match overall. She played amazing. It was kind of sad that we got drawn since we are friends, but it was a pretty tight match.

Q. It's a long week, as you know. How do you feel your game is right now?

ROSE ZHANG: My game is feeling all right. I'm hitting the ball pretty solid overall. Doug on the bag has really helped me in terms of course management and really reading putts well. I contribute a lot of my shots to him, and it's really good to have someone who can confirm your line, even though you are pretty assertive already.

It's just great, and I'm just looking forward to my match tomorrow.
