THE MODERATOR: Questions, please.

Q. How are you feeling today?

SOFIA KENIN: I'm fine. Yeah, I'm good. Thank you.

Q. In general, just what are your thoughts on this Wimbledon? It feels like it's wide open, like yourself and a lot of other players have a good chance to make a deep run if you just kind of get comfortable on the grass quickly?

SOFIA KENIN: I mean, yeah. I mean, everyone is playing really well here. Yeah, anything can happen on any given day.

Yeah, in terms of the draw and everything, I just take one match at a time. I'm not going to really look ahead, because I'm happy that I won today. It's a good way to start off the tournament. I hope I can improve like the next matches.

Q. In terms of grass court and your game on it, what are some of the things that need to click into place? Everybody like seems like their own personal challenges with this surface. What are some of the things you need to do well to have success on grass?

SOFIA KENIN: Well, I feel like movement is definitely a big key for me. I feel like movement wasn't maybe the best today, but a win is a win, like I said.

I felt like overall I served well. I felt like it kind of saved me during today's match. Of course returns. So there is some little stuff I have to improve, but overall I'm quite happy with the way I played.

You know, it's my first match on grass since I didn't play any previous grass tournaments. Yeah, of course I was a little bit more nervous since it was my first match on grass and it happens to be at Wimbledon.

So obviously a little bit of nerves, but I was able to manage it. Yeah, I'm happy with it.

Q. Wonder if you have any thoughts on the victory of Sloane Stephens on Centre Court. She didn't play any grass warmup either, and it seemed to work out well for her with an upset over Petra. Did you take notice of that match?

SOFIA KENIN: Yeah, I saw -- yeah, I actually saw that during my match, because I was looking on the right, looking at scores. Yeah, me and Sloane are good friends. I'm really happy for her.

Yeah, it's a good win for both of us, for Team GSE. Yeah, I hope we can both do well here.
