Quick Quotes

Q. Obviously playing really well here for three days. Talk through the round.

GREG KRAFT: I really had it going today. First day I didn't play that bad, I just was on the wrong side of the hole. Obviously yesterday I got it going pretty good. Hit a lot of really close shots and through the first eight holes today I could have easily been 6-under. I hit it perfect.

Then after the delay I came out and I just wasn't hitting it real good on the range, didn't feel right, and the last 11 holes today was a struggle. So hopefully tomorrow I can put it back in place before we start.

Q. Can you tell us a little bit about your caddie?

GREG KRAFT: Yeah, so a good friend of mine from home is always wanting to caddie so I figured this would be a good event, so we came up together. We came up Sunday, and we've been having a good time all week, and he tore his calf muscle on the 11th green yesterday, so I talked to Jackson who was our sign bearer, he's a caddie here and he knows the course really well, so I said, just bring out another sign bearer, I'll take Jackson. And then we got it going.

So then coming up 18 yesterday I said, You want to keep going? He goes, Yeah, if you want me, and I said, Well, I'll see you tomorrow.

So it's been fun. He's a great great kid and he's a good help. He knows -- he's perfect, knows exactly what to do.

Q. I know it sucks for your caddie but for the kid like pretty cool experience for him?

GREG KRAFT: Yeah, it will be really cool. We're in the hunt there. We were in second there for a little while, so maybe tomorrow we can get off to that start again get right back in the mix and give him some good memories.

Q. What was the -- so did you just go up to him and say, hey, do you want to --

GREG KRAFT: Yeah, I could tell he was a golfer. I met him on the first tee. I always introduce myself to my caddie -- me and my caddie, I introduce them to the sign bearer and the scorer. And I went to talk to him, because I needed somebody -- by the time they brought somebody out, I would have been a hole or two behind. I said, Do you mind carrying the bag until they bring a caddie out? And he goes, Sure, I caddie here all the time. I go, How would you like to finish the round and they will bring out another sign guy? Be easier to find someone to carry the sign than it would be to get another caddie. So that's what we did.

Q. Did you think he was an asset to your later playing?

GREG KRAFT: Yeah, I mean he definitely didn't -- it was fun, it was a different experience, obviously, but he was happy, excited, maybe a little nervous, but he did fantastic and made it great, made it fun.

Q. He's got a smile on his face, you can definitely tell.

GREG KRAFT: Yeah, he's a good kid.
