Quick Quotes
.
Q. 6-under, no bogeys, 10-under par for the tournament. That's not a bad day's work, is it?
RICHIE RAMSAY: It's a very good day's work, yeah. I would have taken that this morning, no doubt. I thought there were some really good pins out there. Feels like if you're just on the wrong side of it, you're going to have a tough up-and-down. But I played very steady. Just felt like I had really good control. After struggling yesterday, I just spent a little bit of time on the range to work on the strike and it paid off massively today.
Q. How important is this whole event to you?
RICHIE RAMSAY: Well, it's a major for us. So it's like I've always said, like the Dunhill or The Scottish Open, they are career-defining wins, because it's not often or not many people have managed to circle them off, I know Paul has won the Dunhill and Monty has won the Dunhill but The Scottish Open title is special. It's one I went to Gleneagles watching it way back in the early 90s when it was there.
So to go to a tournament and watch it as a little kid and come to a tournament and be able to compete is a pretty cool feeling.
Q. Probably some youngsters looking at you playing; how nice is it to finish with a birdie in front of your home fans?
RICHIE RAMSAY: It's lovely, yeah. With it being my home club, it's probably extra special. There's a lot of familiar faces out there, and of course you're here. You know the slopes. You know the wind. You know where to play, and so you want to put in a good performance. It only comes around once a year. I don't know how the Olympians manage to do it every four years. But there's a little bit of pressure there, but just really enjoy being out and playing against what is one of the best fields in the world.
