Q. How important was it for you to put yourself in a position like this going into the weekend?

JHONATTAN VEGAS: Well, you've got to try to make as many birdies as you can to be honest around this place. There's obviously enough birdies out there, especially early on, especially teeing off on the back nine. You know, it's a course that you have to be aggressive, you have to stay patient at the same time, but you have to be aggressive and try to make as many birdies as you can.

Q. You're a familiar name around here. To make those birdies, how much does course knowledge play into that knowing that you feel comfortable around here?

JHONATTAN VEGAS: You know, there's something to be said about that. This place for some reason, it's always been fun for me. Coming to Moline has always been a blast. I've always enjoyed it here. I've met great people around this place. It's always been an enjoyable one for me, and I've actually managed to play well.

Q. What do you think it's going to take for you to break through here?

JHONATTAN VEGAS: It's going to take some low scoring, especially if conditions stay the way they are. But like I said, I'm in a good position that a couple of good rounds could be enough.
