MIKE McCOY: Yeah, I hit a good shot, and I left myself kind of a little bit of a bender of a putt, and I just didn't let it get in there close enough.

Q. Did you have any idea where you stood?

MIKE McCOY: I had a pretty good idea, so it's just disappointing to not perform when all you had to do was make a three-footer. So disappointed.

Q. Still a chance. You never know. How does this compare to other USGA experiences?

MIKE McCOY: It's great. I mean, it's intense. The golf course is very hard. Played pretty good golf, so I mean, it's hard to be disappointed. I didn't score as well, but I did play well. It's a big championship, so it's got that whole feel to it. It's exciting to be here.

Q. You make the cut, saying you make the cut?

MIKE McCOY: Yeah, it would be a really fun weekend.
