Q. Right about now are you thinking, this is the right place to come and play golf?

XANDER SCHAUFFELE: Yeah, I was told by several people that Scotland is kind of like San Diego. This is quite nice.

Q. Tell us about your round, 67?

XANDER SCHAUFFELE: Overall pretty pleased. I made some putts that I wouldn't expect to make and I missed several putts that I would have expect to make. It was just a classic day of golf.

Q. You have a wonderful demeanor about you, nothing seems to ruffle you, but this type of golf, you may get a bounce you don't deserve, you might get a lie. You just have to take it, don't you? It's all part of what you do an I links golf course?

XANDER SCHAUFFELE: That's correct. That's what I would consider the acclimation period being over here versus the states. Just take the bounces as they come.

Q. Nice three-ball, wasn't it?

XANDER SCHAUFFELE: It was great. It was quite nice. I do enjoy playing with Tyrrell and Tommy.

Q. Earlier in the week you said that you wouldn't come on honeymoon here because of the weather; will you change your mind?

XANDER SCHAUFFELE: A day like today is definitely making me eat my own words. This is quite nice.

Q. Day one, you can't win it here, but to be in the mix, that's what it's all about.

XANDER SCHAUFFELE: Yeah, it's about positioning.
