Quick Quotes
Q. After an encouraging opening round of 66, followed that up with a 67 today. How happy are with you that?
GRANT FORREST: Yeah, delighted. It's always tough to follow up a pretty good first round. I stayed really patient out there and probably wasn't quite as good off the tee today. So I have to work a little bit harder for the score.
Q. Midafternoon, obviously we noticed the climate change very much, the temperature dropped very quickly and the winds picked up. How noticeable was it for you out there?
GRANT FORREST: I had to send John to get a jumper when we were on the putting green just before seeing off. It's like someone turned the heat off.
Yeah, then a few of these holes are in the trees and protecting the par 3s and the wind was just all over the shop, so a little bit of guesswork. Yeah, I think we did all right.
Q. You would have noticed obviously going around seeing a mini-leaderboard here and there exactly with a kind of number you needed to shoot for. What do you do tomorrow going into it to make sure you're still in contention for Sunday?
GRANT FORREST: Same thing. Just each shot at a time and yeah, you know, it's quite a scorable golf course. But at the same time, if you short-side yourself, you're going to have a tough time making par.
There's bogeys waiting around the corner, but yeah, I think we'll just stay patient and stick to the game plan we've had the first two days.
Q. Yesterday you mentioned how much more of an encouragement with the fans, how much more will that help you?
GRANT FORREST: I can't wait. It's been a while. I've got great memories from the Irish Open at Lahinch two years ago playing with Rocky when he shot 60 on Saturday, and then played with Jon Rahm on the final day when he shot a low one to win. Won't be quite as mental as that but I'm looking forward to it.
