Q. Big night for you. You knocked in four runs and had some key at-bats there. What was the approach from the entire team tonight? You all just came out there, looked like you all were really patient. Also had some great at-bats all night.
SCOTTY DUBRULE: We were just going to stay in the moment. Just stick to our approaches and look for good pitches to hit. You're really not trying to complicate things. You just keep doing the same thing you've been doing all year and it clicked for us tonight.
Q. After last night, this team's been so good at bouncing back. You did bounce back. Now, how do you come off of this great big high and get refocused in time to play for the championship tomorrow?
SCOTTY DUBRULE: We take one game at a time. This game is done. We're going to recollect. We're going to remain cool, calm and collected and bring the same energy out tomorrow. But we know this game is over and it's going to be a new day tomorrow. And we're going to have to face tough arms. So we'll keep the same energy, though.
Q. What do you remember about facing Kumar last time, if he's the starter tomorrow, and what's the approach going to have to be?
SCOTTY DUBRULE: Yeah, I remember that he's a great pitcher. He really hits his spots. I mean, he's got the command. He's got the velo. Just really great arm overall. We'll really have to compete to have success against him.
Q. Have you thought about kind of the history and what tomorrow could mean if you guys are able to win as far as giving your school the first national championship in any team sport?
SCOTTY DUBRULE: Yes, I've thought about it. But, you know, you really can't think about it too much. You just gotta take it a pitch at a time. And if that moment comes, we will be grateful. But, yeah, we're just going to go out and do our thing tomorrow.
Q. You and I had a conversation long ago. You said one of the reasons you picked Mississippi State was the opportunity to go to Omaha and compete for a national championship. So now here you are at the threshold of that moment, looking back how do you feel about your decision?
SCOTTY DUBRULE: Ecstatic about it. This is one of the greatest decisions I've ever made. And I just really appreciate the coaching staff and fans for welcoming me here.
