Quick Quotes
THE MODERATOR: Here with Hyo Joo Kim, who shot a 69. You had birdies on 2, 5, and 17. You started on No. 10. Could you tell us about your birdies, no bogeys on the day.
HYO JOO KIM: Besides the birdies, there were some shots that I missed that I was a little bit disappointed, but overall I'm satisfied. Compared to yesterday, I had a better score today. Overall, I was satisfied with the score today.
Q. Did you work on anything specific from yesterday to today that you felt improved your game?
HYO JOO KIM: There were a lot of shorter putts I missed yesterday, so I knew I wanted to work on that. I still wasn't as successful as I wanted to be, but compared to yesterday it was better, so I'll take that.
Q. Always take better, right? You had your big win earlier this year. How much confidence has that given you now as we head into these majors?
HYO JOO KIM: The win that came this year was a little bit earlier in the season. I think I dropped a little bit since then. Since then I'm still regaining my touches. I feel like my shots are getting a little better, and I think I raised my level to around 70 percent.
Q. Only 70 percent and still this good. Good job. What do you take from today that you hope to use again tomorrow and as you go for another major title?
HYO JOO KIM: Later in the day today, I didn't hit as many shots as I wanted to, so I will go practice now to regain the feel of my shots, but I think, just like today, if I play better tomorrow than today, then it will be a good positive sign.
