Q. Tell us a little bit about your round. There were some positives.

GABY LOPEZ: Yeah, it was an up-and-down round where I hit the ball pretty good. I just didn't putt very well. I made a couple mistakes on my short putts, but I'm confident. I'm just calm that I'm hitting the ball good. This is a golf course that you've got to hit the ball pretty good off the tee. You've got to get some carries off some bunkers up there. Yeah, I'm just going to be calm, patient and hope for the best for tomorrow.

Q. There was an announcement today about the Olympics and you being the flag bearer. How do you feel about that?

GABY LOPEZ: Yeah, I'm really excited that a country can really look at your success and can really just honor that, and to me it's just the biggest blessing that golf has given me is probably this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I'm really happy. I'm very proud of Mexico. You know how hard I try to represent Mexico everywhere I go, with so much heart, with so much passion, and I'm just very blessed for them giving me this opportunity.

Q. Everyone is talking this week about the data analytics. I understand you've been working with your boyfriend for a while on this. What do you expect to see?

GABY LOPEZ: Yeah, I've been working with my boyfriend with a stats program that's called AVX and I really trust his numbers. I'm really happy about working with him in that way. He's been telling me all the positives on my rounds and how efficient I can practice for later.

Yeah, I don't know what's the LPGA stats looking like, but I'm happy that I'm doing that.
