LA Clippers
Game 2: Postgame
Phoenix Suns 104, Los Angeles Clippers 103
Q. When you hit heads there, what exactly happened?
PAT BEVERLEY: We knocked heads.
Q. How bad was that cut for you? Did you have to get stitches?
PAT BEVERLEY: No. Not bad.
Q. What do you guys feel like you needed to clean up on Booker after Game 1, when he was 9-of-20 or something like that shooting?
PAT BEVERLEY: What's the question?
Q. What can you do defensively to make Booker’s night harder offensively?
PAT BEVERLEY: I don't know. Get some more attention to detail.
Q. Can you take me to that last possession where you were guarding Devin, they knocked it, the ball goes out-of-bounds --
PAT BEVERLEY: I knocked it. I knocked it.
Q. Reviewed it -- you knocked it off of him. Now, the play after that, you were protecting the one-point lead and you forced the ball out of Devin's hands. Was that the plan to get the ball and basically let anyone else have the ball there, except Devin?
PAT BEVERLEY: That's what happened.
Q. You guys have been down obviously 0-2 before. Does that help you approach the rest of this series?
PAT BEVERLEY: I don't think you like to start two games in the hole. I don't think that's our plan. This game, I've played a lot of games in this league, this one's hard. This one goes up there. This is a hard game to kind of swallow because you look at this game, I mean, we got this game won, you know. But we’ve been in the trenches before. We respond well in the trenches. We'll respond well. We always do.
Q. You said you guys felt like this game was won. When did you get that feeling? When you forced that turnover at that point? Because it was such a strange game, the feel of the game, we would look up and it seemed like you were down five for the entire game. When did you feel like this was yours?
PAT BEVERLEY: I think I got up -- I think I got up at like 8:30 in the morning, and I think I knew then. I think we arrived to the locker room, after our team meeting, I think we knew then.
Q. Does this result shake the way you feel about what's ahead in this series?
PAT BEVERLEY: No. I just think it's a good learning lesson for us. And I think that, you know, we crack jokes, we called T-Lue Bill Belichick with all the adjustments he makes. He's definitely going to find a way, and we're going to find a way, also, like we always do.
