Quick Quotes
Q. Leona, we wanted to thank you so much for taking the time. Overnight leader here, even through eight holes today. How do you handle these kinds of delays?
LEONA MAGUIRE: Yeah, I think it's something that we all expected was a possibility today. At least we nearly got nine holes in before the delay. Yeah, get something to eat, stay warm, and, yeah, come back out.
Q. You were three ahead to start the day; currently in a tie at the top. How will you assess your game plan as you head back out this afternoon?
LEONA MAGUIRE: Yeah, I felt like I played pretty nicely first few holes. Just didn't hole any putts.
A lot of fairways, a lot of greens, and hopefully hole a few more on the back nine.
Q. How would you describe the conditions out here today compared to the first two days?
LEONA MAGUIRE: Yeah, the air was very heavy this morning. The ball probably wasn't traveling quite as far and it was a little bit of swirling winds. I'm guessing the golf course is going to be a little soft after this rain depending on how much we get.
Probably play a little longer on the back nine, but maybe be a little bit more aggressive.
Q. There are some big events coming up in the next few months with Solheim Cup and the Olympics, and both those standings being finalized here in just a few weeks. How does that impact your plan when you go out there?
LEONA MAGUIRE: Yeah, it's one of those things the better I play those things look after themselves. Taking one tournament at a time and trying to finish as well as I possibly can every week, and, yeah, looking forward to a really busy summer coming up and some very cool events.
