THE MODERATOR: Questions, please.

Q. I know that in the past you have had some tough first-round matches at Roland Garros and some easier matches at Roland Garros. I was wondering, do you think that sometimes first-round matches are the hardest ones to play in, and if so, why can they be so tough?

KAROLINA PLISKOVA: I think it depends of course on the draw. Also on myself, which level I'm at the time, like, playing. I think it's combination of things, definitely. You can have easy match. You can have super hard match in the first round I think.

But lately, I think the last couple years I think there is not really many easy matches. I would be surprised if there is -- especially on clay I think everybody just runs and tries to make the best and tries to put every ball in. I think I didn't really have lately that many easy matches here. I don't remember at least any.

And, yeah, I think it's just super competitive now on every tournament, not just here but on every tournament. So I don't think really there is going to be much easy matches here.
