THE MODERATOR: Questions, please.
Q. Given how excellent you are as a clay court player, it must be very strange to come to Roland Garros, a place that you reached the semifinals last year, on a four-match losing streak. How good does it feel to get that win under your belt and start to build some confidence?
DIEGO SCHWARTZMAN: Well, yeah, for sure it was not my best clay court season for me. I was not playing my best. I was also losing against few guys that are the best in the tour: Karatsev, Carreno, Aliassime. Obviously I was not playing my best, and I was just thinking about me, not against who I was playing.
I was trying to play a few more matches. That's why I went to Lyon. Then I went to the UTS in Nice to play a few more different matches in that place.
But I think it was helping to me to be ready for Roland Garros, playing some more points before start here at Grand Slam, and I think I had a little bit of lucky at this time in the draw. It was a good start for me, and I took the chance and I'm in the second round.
Q. Would you say there is an element in your game you're looking for right now? Yeah, you had a lot of tough draws, but is there something missing that you want to find so you can make a deep run here?
DIEGO SCHWARTZMAN: Yeah, I think it was a step forward today doing just 10 unforced errors in three sets. For me is very important not doing many mistakes, serving a little bit better than the matches before. I think when I'm trying to be aggressive and I'm not doing many mistakes, for me it's very important.
So I think that's the important thing that I have to keep in my mind from today.
Q. A lot of people talked about your tie-dye kit when that came out and now you have another special kit. I'm curious how much you like this? Reilly was telling me about how he enjoyed the collaboration. What do you think about it?
DIEGO SCHWARTZMAN: Tie dye, no?
Q. Right.
DIEGO SCHWARTZMAN: I love. I love these clothes. I really love the clothes that I'm wearing here right now. I think Fila is improving a lot, many colors in our shirts, in our choices. I really love it.
I mean, for me, if the people like, I like. I think the people is enjoying what Fila is doing with a lot of brands, partnerships around the world, here is with MCH -- No? Yeah. I think it looks good. I like to be on court with new clothes and different ones.
Q. We saw your friend Thiem kind of struggle with motivation after having incredible success. You could also be considered having breakout success with Roland Garros, with ATP Finals, Buenos Aires, do you also feel it sometimes to keep motivated, to keep pushing after you have such big breakouts?
DIEGO SCHWARTZMAN: I think are not easy times right now. Yeah, I can speak not about the other players, because I really don't know what they are doing at home or how, you know, they are trying to keep focus under this situation around the world for everybody.
Talking from myself, it's been difficult, you know. We are playing, we are, you know, playing the tournaments around the world, so that's the very important thing right now. But the last 10 months I was home less than month and a half. So I think not even you guys, not even the people is thinking how difficult is that for everyone.
I think ATP and the tournaments are improving a little bit the protocols and the life in Europe it's improving a little bit. That's a really step forward in our lives right now with COVID.
But it's difficult for everyone. And for some people it's, you know, worst, and for some people it's a little bit easier every day.
Let's see. I think we have to, you know, understand everyone, because are not really easy times around the world.
