THE MODERATOR: Questions, please.

Q. Can you give us your thoughts on how things went down out there and what you take from facing Madison?

LEYLAH FERNANDEZ: It was a tough match. But honestly I played a pretty horrible one, let's say. At a scale of 1 to 10, I would say zero. I'm definitely not happy with the way I played. The way I acted on court, too. Everything considered, I deserved to lose this one.

Q. Do you feel Madison and the way she goes for broke, hits big, kind of threw you off or was it that you weren't really ready for a fight today?

LEYLAH FERNANDEZ: No, I just didn't follow the game plan my coaches put up for me. I made way too many mistakes, basic mistakes. Yeah, that's why I say I didn't deserve to win that match.

Q. It seemed like you made progress in the second set. Obviously you don't feel that way.

LEYLAH FERNANDEZ: No, no. After match we all hate losing, especially me. I don't see a positive at the moment.
