THE MODERATOR: Questions, please.
Q. Clearly impressive performance by Sascha tonight. What did he do well?
KEI NISHIKORI: He served well with this condition. He was hitting the ball pretty solid, everything. I think today he was too good for me.
Q. Overall how do you feel about your performance? Do you like how you've been able to play?
KEI NISHIKORI: Some of them, yes. I have to applaud myself to fight through those tough two matches. I didn't play my best today, but I think it was definitely better than last year. Hopefully I can play better next year.
Q. With these new night sessions they have this year with no fans, usually at the US Open, Australian Open people talk about how the night sessions are exciting, cool to get to play one. What does it feel like when you see the schedule at this tournament knowing you have to play late and there's no fans? Does it feel like it's a reward or punishment?
KEI NISHIKORI: Well, definitely condition change. The weather gets little bit colder. The balls get a little heavy and bounce little bit slower than when it's sunny. I feel like my serve was having tough time with get going, get good speed. Just little heavier condition. It was little bit tough serving.
I mean, atmosphere, I cannot complain. France with this corona... I cannot complain. But definitely with fans, it's more fun to play during the daytime.
