6-1, 6-2
THE MODERATOR: Questions about the doubles match, please.
BARBORA KREJCIKOVA: Let's talk about doubles (laughter).
Q. You are in the finals of both singles and doubles. How were you able to shake off the emotions of yesterday for both of you to come together and play as wells as you did?
BARBORA KREJCIKOVA: I'm really happy. Katia was doing really well today. She was really helping me. I'm really happy that even the score looks like it was easy, but it wasn't really easy. I hope we saved some power for the finals.
I'm looking forward that I'm going to play two more times on Chatrier. It's always perfect to play this court because it's a beautiful court. I think it's going to be a lot of fun playing these two finals.
Q. Could you talk a little bit about who you might play in the final. The semifinal hasn't finished yet, so a little bit about each of the pairs.
KATERINA SINIAKOVA: I mean, it's going to be another tough, tough battle. I think Bethanie and Iga, they play few tournaments together, so they know each other. They're, like, playing really great and aggressive. We know Bethanie a long time. It's going to be hard, hard match, doubles match.
The other one, I think they play also great tennis actually on the clay court because Podoroska is really a good clay court player.
But it's going to be really tough match anyway. Doesn't matter who wins. I think we need to focus on our game and we will see how it goes.
Q. All the Czech players are very supportive for each other. How are you feeling the support from the other girls on tour?
BARBORA KREJCIKOVA: I think overall they are really supportive. That's why you see it. When we go and we play Fed Cup, I think we have a really nice and good team spirit. Also with the ^ team from Czech Republic, they are just really supporting us, sending us so many messages, coming seeing us, cheering for us.
Overall I just think the Czech Republic is a really country that likes tennis. It's a sports country. They like all the sports. They're very supportive. It's very nice.
I think just players, we just rooting for each other. I already get so many messages from girls. I just really appreciate and I really want to thank them. It's very nice that we can actually stay as a good group and as a good team.
Q. The two of you have been partners pretty much since the juniors. What has this partnership meant to you through the highs and lows of your careers?
KATERINA SINIAKOVA: I think it's really great. I mean, from juniors to here, it's really long journey. I mean, I appreciate it that we are still here. We play good. We are like team. We getting know each other more and more. I think we doing really great. I think it's really important for doubles.
So I'm happy about it. I think it's really hard because, of course, the other girls knows us. I think we doing really great job. Yeah, it's really nice.
Q. We talk about that balance between singles and doubles. How difficult was it to maintain such a high level doubles partnership having to go to ITFs to play singles? Now you can manage the schedule a little bit easier.
BARBORA KREJCIKOVA: I hope there will be no more ITFs in singles for me. I don't want to play any more ITFs in singles. I want to stay on this level. I want to really work hard just to stay here, to be able to play such matches like this. I'm just really happy.
It was really tough playing ITFs because the schedule, the WTA in doubles, the schedule was tough. It was tight. Sometimes we played well, then I missed the tournament, then I wasn't ready to play. It was difficult.
But I really think that the pandemic really helped me. Right now I just want to keep the level. I just want to stay here. I don't want to go backwards. I just hope that I'll be able and fit enough just to play singles and doubles during the other tournaments as well.
