Q. What did you see from your round today?

SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: I felt like I played pretty good. I made a few silly mistakes here and there but overall I felt pretty good about how I played. Gave myself a chance to win down the stretch, I just wasn't able to hit the ball close enough to the hole and then wasn't able to make the putts I needed to.

Q. What sort of silly mistakes would you say that you made?

SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: I made a sloppy bogey on 9. I felt like I really should have birdied 11 after the shot I hit in there. But after that I really played some good golf. I made a great par on 12, three really good shots on 13. And then 14 through 18 I really don't have any regrets. I hit a great shot into 18. I had to be aggressive with that pin, the way the guys behind me were playing and just got a weird gust of wind, we thought it was across, it came a little bit into and ended up coming up short.

Q. How much were you paying attention to what was going on behind you?

SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: I was pretty aware of what was going on. Obviously they were a little bit farther behind us, so I couldn't really exactly hear what was going on, but the score boards were updating pretty quickly throughout the day, so I knew what I needed to do.

Q. What do you take from this week going into a major championship in a couple of weeks?

SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: I feel good about where my game is, few things I need to clean up but overall it was a solid week.
