Quick Quotes
Q. Megan Khang, good finish after a kind of up and down day for you.
MEGAN KHANG: It was a very up and down day. I could not seem to find the bottom of the hole. Luckily on the last two we found it.
Q. Nice. And I understand you got meet the actress Kathryn Newton on the first tee.
MEGAN KHANG: Oh, Kathryn and I go way back to junior golf, so it was nice to see her out here.
Q. Cool. And tell me about her a little bit.
MEGAN KHANG: So we met playing junior golf. I think we were like 12 or 13, so ever since then I watched her flourish in her career, and then it's pretty cool, like we actually ran into each earlier this year in L.A. and were going to do dinner, but with the LPGA rules we weren't able to.
But we still keep in touch here and there. Again, it was awesome to see her supporting women's golf and being out here.
Q. What are you thinking about for Sunday here?
MEGAN KHANG: Hopefully I can make more putts like the last two. But when it comes down to it, I just got to find the fairways, hit the greens, and just give it my best and we'll see how it goes.
MEGAN KHANG: I think she full on lives for the crowd because that girl, she can putt. I literally -- every time she made a putt I was like, well, F. That's good. She's good.
She lived for the pressure and she just -- it was stellar to watch.
Q. You played with her at ShopRite. Did you see any differences in her game today compared to last year?
MEGAN KHANG: I mean, anyone who knows me I don't have the best memory. I don't even know how I played that week.
Q. Fair, fair.
MEGAN KHANG: But, no, I mean, she was great out here today. And I know, again, she loved the crowd and I know at ShopRite we weren't able to have a crowd, so I think she's definitely feeding off them and her game is really solid right now.
Q. In the history of majors here people always come from off the lead, so do you take solace in that and almost feel like, I'm just exactly in the right position make a move tomorrow?
MEGAN KHANG: No, I mean, it's definitely like -- like Kurt kept saying to me after that little bogey train in the middle, Hey, we're not out of this. Let's go. We still got to finish strong here. Like he's right. We're still in the red.
Just kind of got to go out there a little more aggressive, no when not to be, and just kind of try and post a number and give it my best. Always happy when I put my best out there.
