Q. Danielle Kang, and 2&1 winner over Madelene Sagstrom today. Yesterday you looked like a women on a mission; today still the same but a little tighter. Was it nice to have a little closer competition?
DANIELLE KANG: No, it was not. Today was really stressful. (Laughter.) It was really stressful.
Will you please. Bye.
Madelene did not have a good day. She didn't bring her A game neither did I, so it was a very frustrating round for the both of us, I believe. Came down to the 17th hole. I hit a good shot and made a good putt, and I think that's what did it for me today.
Q. Kind of crept back in within one or within two even. You stepped right back up and responded. Take us through just those moments when you had to respond and you did.
DANIELLE KANG: I think today I could say for her as well, it's just -- I think we were trying to minimize as much mistakes as possible. We were making a lot of mistakes out there from beginning to the end.
She made some good birdies coming in and all I kind of tried to do was keep it steady as much as I can, but there was just so many bogeys out there for us and so many mistakes.
I think that was just like I said just frustrating for the both of us. Mostly just going 2-up or 1-up to 3-up, whatever it may be, it wasn't like we were draining birdie putts to do that. It was mostly one of us making a double or a bogey or missing a par putt.
So it was not as enjoyable for either one of us I don't think.
Q. You've got Lizette tomorrow. Winner goes on to the sweet sixteen. Take us through the excitement of playing a good friend like her.
DANIELLE KANG: Tomorrow is going to be definitely interesting, right? I'm playing one of my best friends. But at the end of the day, we're still competitors. Just going to go out there and play the best we can, and at the end of the day I want to win and I know she wants to win.
So we're going to bring our A games and see who comes out on top.
Q. When you have such great memories in Solheims as teammates, how do you use those memories to change the mindset into a competitive form tomorrow?
DANIELLE KANG: To be honest, I've played DOW with her as well. I've played enough team events with her, alternate shots, best ball, I've played so many tournaments with her.
I think playing against her is just -- mindset will be a little different because in teams I always know she has my back and I know she doesn't have my back tomorrow.
So I think I just have to go into that mindset, knowing that we're just out there to win and this is the best we can do.
Q. You said you were watching Friends later. Is that a show you guys watch together?
DANIELLE KANG: Yeah, we have a -- there is a reunion tonight so we're watching it.
Q. Do you watch the show often though?
DANIELLE KANG: Yeah, we just leave it on in the background. Backgrounds noise while you have to do things.
