THE MODERATOR: We are joined by Max DeJong.

Q. Max, how would you describe this kind of night? I know it's not the kind of start you guys wanted to get over, get off to, but how overall does it affect what you have to do going forward?

MAX DEJONG: Tonight was tough. It was a tough loss. It was really tough to swallow. It's a quick turnaround tomorrow. We've just got to bounce back, and I think we'll be all right.

Q. You only pitched, I think, what, three games all year long, and you kind of get thrust into the situation. I know before you came in -- and walks have been a big issue. Was it one of those deals where Coach said, hey, just throw strikes at this point in time? What was his message to you?

MAX DEJONG: That's pretty much what he said. Got to limit the sprays, limit the walks, and attack.

Q. How frustrating have the walks been this year? I think it's the sixth time you guys have walked ten or more in a game this year?

MAX DEJONG: It's a pretty big issue. It's just something we've got to work on. We've got to pound the zone.
