Q. It sounds like they got on a four-hole stretch there on the front where I think they made four birdies in a row or an eagle?

DAVIS CHATFIELD: Yeah, a couple eagles, a couple birdies.

Q. When that happens, mentally what does that do to you guys?

DAVIS CHATFIELD: Yeah, you know it's probably not going to last forever, but it's not great going 4-down through eight holes, but we stuck with it. We fought our way to the very end and just tried to hit as many good shots as possible and see where that took us.

Q. It seems like in four-ball if you get down, it's tough to come back because it's two guys -- it's singles match, it's possible you can make a mistake or two, but it's harder for two guys to make a mistake on the same hole.

PALMER JACKSON: For sure. I thought it was interesting how there were a lot of really easy pins out there today and very difficult pins, so on the holes where guys were making birdies, both teams made birdies, and on the holes where pins were tough, both of us made par, and we needed to capitalize a little bit more on the more difficult holes, but we did what we could.

Q. Sum up your week; you got to the semifinals. I don't know what your plans are for next year but you're exempt for Birmingham. You're also exempt for '23 at Kiawah.

DAVIS CHATFIELD: That's a long way off.

Q. You'll probably be playing for pay at that point.

DAVIS CHATFIELD: I hope so.

Q. Sum up your week.

DAVIS CHATFIELD: It's been a crazy week, a lot of golf. Yeah, if you were going to tell us at the beginning of the week we would have made it to the semis, I think we would have taken it. Obviously when you get to this point you obviously want to win, but to get where we did this week, it's been awesome, and the hospitality has been great.

Q. You guys were in the playoff, too, and then you knock off three straight sides with a USGA champion. That's quite a week.

PALMER JACKSON: Yeah, we only played one practice round because the clubs didn't make it, and walked the home course. We barely got into a playoff, got out of the playoff and played USGA champions, and we just ran into a buzz saw today, but nothing we can do about it.

Q. The clubs, was that an airline thing?

DAVIS CHATFIELD: It was, yeah.

Q. So you guys got here Thursday?

PALMER JACKSON: Thursday, yeah.

Q. So didn't get to play the home course?

PALMER JACKSON: So we fought it out there. Greens were firm, got around, and then here, scraped it in to get in at I think 8-under in a playoff.
