THE MODERATOR: We are now joined by Dylan Crews.
Q. Just offensively for you guys, what was Georgia doing tonight or today to just kind of confuse you all and how disappointing is it to kind of show up here and have to leave after one game?
DYLAN CREWS: Yeah, it's obviously disappointing. You want to come in here and make a statement. I mean, I had all the confidence in the world with our guys, and we just came up short. But I mean, Georgia came right after us. They were aggressive with their pitches, and we just couldn't string anything together with runners in scoring position.
Q. What are the next few days going to be like for you all? Not knowing if you've done enough, wondering if you've done enough. How do you describe what it's going to be like waiting to find out if you're going to actually continue your season or if this is the last game you played this year?
DYLAN CREWS: We've just got to sit and wait right now. Whatever happens happens, and we're going to be prepared for it at the end of the day. We're going to take this as a learning experience and just come out -- whatever happens, come out and perform and do what we do best.
Q. Defensively, did the ballpark play like you thought it would? It seemed like there were a couple of tries that Gavin that -- it's a big ballpark, there's a lot of ground to cover there. Do you feel like that was anything out of the ordinary that maybe you guys didn't account for?
DYLAN CREWS: The ballpark played the way we expected. We were prepared for it. We came out here and practiced, had a good practice. Those balls to Gavin, those were very tough balls to get to. He made very good effort on both of those balls. They just found the ground, and they found a hole, and it is what it is at the end of the day.
We've got to do better offensively and do better with runners in scoring position, and it's a whole new ball game after that.
Q. If I could follow up there, you're talking about the runners in scoring position. Is that a mindset thing, where you just have to believe you're going to drive them in?
DYLAN CREWS: Yeah, that's a factor into the equation. But, yeah, you definitely got to believe and have all the confidence in the world when you go out there. Yeah, like I said, whatever happens happens. We're going to be prepared for it for next time.
Q. That first inning, can you just talk about -- obviously, Landon Marceaux's phenomenal outing from the first inning on, and also can you put into perspective how the magnitude of maybe not being able to turn that double play in the first inning was?
DYLAN CREWS: Yeah, definitely, I think the ball game would have been much different if we turned that double play. But Landon, we have all the confidence in Landon. He's been there when we need him every step of the way through this whole entire season. Like I said, I feel like the ball game would have been completely different if we did things differently offensively. You can't change, can't help what happened defensively.
We're going to come out and take this as a learning experience, and be prepared for the next game or whatever happens.
Q. I know you keep saying you don't know what's going to happen, but how much do you follow it, and what is your belief about your postseason fate?
DYLAN CREWS: I don't follow it that much really. I keep my head straight on things I need to worry about the most, and that's my game. That's what -- my teammates and my boys. So I don't really focus on that. Whatever they tell us, wherever we have to go to, we're going to do what we can to win and prepare for that event or the play on the ball field.
