THE MODERATOR: Welcome, Brady. If you could, open it up with a statement, recap the game, and we'll have questions for you.
BRADY ALLEN: I don't think we played our best baseball. We made mistakes and gave them free base runners, and they didn't as much. They capitalized on a lot of them, and we didn't. I really don't think we played our best baseball, and we have a lot to work on before regionals.
Q. How frustrating is it knowing this week could have gone a long way towards that hosting resume?
BRADY ALLEN: Yeah, it really stinks because myself and the whole team, we know how good of a team we are. But just coming in today and losing the opening round, we didn't get to show it, so it's pretty upsetting.
Q. What are you all going to work on as you get into this week? Obviously, you have a long layoff before the NCAA Tournament starts. What are some things you want to improve on and see the offense improve on?
BRADY ALLEN: The offense just really clutch hitting, like Wes said. Just getting guys to understand what their job is in that moment and be unselfish, and have a team at bat as our coaches say. Do anything to get that runner over or runner in.
Q. You all started out the year so well offensively. Where do you think things kind of went wrong for you guys from an offensive standpoint over the back half of the season?
BRADY ALLEN: Well, I think when we get into SEC play, everyone knows that. Those are the best arms in the country, and there's numerous amounts of people that have really, really good stuff. So just adjusting to that and kind of finding our game plan and sticking to it, that's probably what we need to work on to get back on track.
Q. Brady, knowing that you guys have played such a tough schedule this year and the last few SEC series you played against ranked opponents, does that give you an extra vote of confidence even though the results haven't been exactly what you wanted them to be? Just knowing that you guys have held your own with those teams, does that give you confidence going into regionals?
BRADY ALLEN: Yeah, this team, that's exactly what we wanted. We want to play the best. We want to be the best. We want get much better than what we've been playing. Most of these games, we've either won or lost, and the games were pretty close, the ones we lost. So, yeah, it's going to give us some confidence going in, and we're going to know we're the best team there when regionals start.
