Quick Quotes
Q. Ally, first of all, what a great second round here. Not many went low today. How did you manage to find those birdies?
ALLY EWING: Well, I think it starts with just the contours of these greens can get really tricky, so I gave myself some really good looks, especially after I made the turn, and was able to roll some putts in.
And I'd probably say that contributed to some better-than-yesterday ball striking. I kind of struggled yesterday for a few holes, but was good to see some good shots and putts go in.
Yeah, I think that -- it's a good feeling, yeah.
Q. How much are you thinking about the Olympics and the Solheim Cup coming up?
ALLY EWING: Probably less about the Olympics, more about Solheim. I wouldn't say it's on my mind because I feel like if I do what I'm supposed to, take care of what I'm supposed to take care of, then everything will happen how it's supposed to.
Yeah, I'm just week in, week out trying to do me, and I feel like if I do that, then I've got a really good chance to be on the team and represent the U.S. again.
Q. And last question from me is just those events, to be able to -- fans were out here this week, too -- just to see things go back to normal, how do you feel about that? Does that get you more pumped up, too?
ALLY EWING: Yeah, it's exciting to see -- I think for most of us we hit shots and you have some greens that have the bottom of the flags are hidden. Like you can't even see the greens in some areas out here.
To hear claps before you get up to the green to know it was a good shot rather than guessing the whole way up. I think just the positive feedback from fans is fun. It's good to see support.
I think we still are in the pandemic even though we're moving out of it. It's good to see people come out.
Yeah, the Solheim Cup here in the States would be amazing and full crowd support. Hearing those cheers again, that would be fun.
