Quick Quotes
Q. What a great two rounds here at Pure Silk. How do you feel after the second round of just even par?
ELIZABETH SZOKOL: 1-over today, bogey on the last, but it was an interesting round definitely. Rough start. I was 3-over through four holes, so really had to battle, so I was happy with that. Made some birdies coming in, so that was definitely a good finish there.
Q. Did you have any expectations coming into this week?
ELIZABETH SZOKOL: I had the last three weeks off and just practiced a lot and worked hard, so I was just really looking forward to getting back out here and competing.
Q. How about all the fans being out here? Definitely feels a little different. How did you feel?
ELIZABETH SZOKOL: It's so nice. It's nice on some of the blind shots to get some applause when you hit a shot close, and it's great to have fans back. Really enjoying that.
Q. Does that add to the momentum at all?
ELIZABETH SZOKOL: Absolutely. When you're playing well it's always nice to have some claps up there, so they definitely help.
Q. How is the course playing? Any changes from when you played it yesterday?
ELIZABETH SZOKOL: Not too different from yesterday. A lot different from two years ago when I played it. It's pretty fast and firm. It got pretty windy yesterday afternoon, so not quite as windy this mourning, but fast and firm out there.
But it's playing tough.
Q. Anything in particular that you really enjoy about this event?
ELIZABETH SZOKOL: I think just the community. I have a great host family. So nice having fans out here. People seem to really enjoy the event. It's always nice to be here playing.
Q. Last question is what do you hope to do the next couple days? Anything in particular you're working on?
ELIZABETH SZOKOL: Just keep doing the same things: Keep giving myself chances for birdie and just staying patient.
