Quick Quotes

Q. Sam, it is really hard to win on the PGA TOUR, as you know. To come out here and have the back-to-back wins and starts was a tall order, but what are your takeaways from the week?

SAM BURNS: Yeah, I think the biggest thing for me is just knowing my game is in a good place. It's in a good spot enough to where I can contend. So that's cool for me, just to see some results for some of the stuff I been working on back home.

All in all, a great week.

Q. What were your thoughts on how K.H. played today and how the tournament turned out?

SAM BURNS: Yeah, he played awesome. I was really proud of him. When it was tough he hung in there and he got off to a great start. It was kind of gettable in the beginning. Got off to a really fast start, and then kind of midway through got tough for everybody, and he kept hitting one shot after the next and never gave anybody a chance.

It was fun to watch. I was proud of the way he played, and it was tough to beat him today.

Q. Could you describe what it was like maybe three hours ago when you were swimming for a while there in the rain, and then to come off of that and sit for a long time before you could go back out?

SAM BURNS: It was one of those things we kind of expected going into the day. Just looking at the radar at the forecast last night it was hit or miss. I was shocked we got that many holes in.

Yeah, it was crazy there for a while. Looked out there and I was talking to Amanda inside and 18 fair, we could have swam down 18 fairway. Hats off the staff here. They did a great job getting the golf course back playable.

Q. It was a bit of a river for a while.

SAM BURNS: Yeah, it was.

Q. Now that we're looking to next week, you said that you were happy that you got to see some things that you been working on. What are those things as you look to the major championship next week?

SAM BURNS: Yeah, I think for Kiawah I've never been there. Haven't played it. So just seeing the golf course for the first time, trying to figure out how it's going to play that week, what the weather is looking like, just kind of go through the routine of what we need to do to get ready, the normal prep work, and see how it goes.
