Quick Quotes
Q. Angel, you really got things going today on that back nine. What made you feel so comfortable as you started the back nine today?
ANGEL YIN: My game was just good. The front nine, I mean, there was no -- really no action going on, but it was because sometimes it's just like that. It's golf.
But I know I was it hitting it good, I was putting it good, I just needed to wait, and then it just so happened on the back nine.
It was good. Just got it rolling and felt good.
Q. 10 through 14, some consecutive birdies in there.
ANGEL YIN: Yeah.
Q. Take me through those putts.
ANGEL YIN: I just hit it really close. I didn't really putt, so it was mostly tap-ins. Hit some good putts, like 11 was a good putt. Was a breaker and I read it right, boom, liked it.
The last birdie on 14 was a downhill slider right to left. Got it good, so went in. Read it well, hit it well, went in. (Laughter.)
Q. What have you learned about your game the past couple rounds here in Thailand?
ANGEL YIN: What I learned, just need to stay patient. If it comes, it comes. It if doesn't, it doesn't. It's just like the front nine and the back nine. Front nine nothing really happened and the back nine happens, so just stay patient. If it comes, it comes. Just try to keep it, and, yeah, just play golf.
Q. I know you've been working on all facets of your game. What stuck out today? Your ball striking?
ANGEL YIN: I would say everything. Just very well-rounded round. (Laughter.) Everything just kind of worked together. I mean, it's not look I hit everything great. It was some missed shots, but I was able to recover; 9 made a bogey.
It wasn't all rainbows and unicorns, but that's just golf. I was able to make it work.
Q. What will you be focusing on for tomorrow?
ANGEL YIN: Just doing what I been doing for the last two days and then play golf. If it happens, it happens. If it doesn't, it doesn't.
Q. Was it a nice confidence boost to end with a birdie on 18?
ANGEL YIN: It's nice. It's nice going into tomorrow because it's a lot of players up there in the mix. Yeah.
Q. What does it mean to see your name up there again?
ANGEL YIN: I didn't see it, so maybe I'll look tomorrow. It feels good, really feels good. Reassuring, because last week I didn't have the greatest week and the last few weeks I been playing haven't been what I've wanted, so just to see myself play again and be in the mix again feels really nice.
And be on camera for once. Just kidding.
