Quick Quotes
Q. All right, so I'll ask a couple questions. What a fantastic round for you today. How are you feeling after what you were able to do on the first day here in Thailand?
ATTHAYA THITIKUL: Well, my feeling, I mean, like I have an amazing round today. Like two eagles in one day, and then back nine as well.
Well, you know, I just keep rolling the putter and I know that today I have a good feeling with hitting irons, and just, you know, stay -- I think I'm really being patient with the weather as well.
Q. I know we had some different weather in the morning and then it got hot this afternoon. I first want to talk about the two eagles on the back nine. Take me through No. 10 and to finish No. 18.
ATTHAYA THITIKUL: Well, No. 10 was like -- for 10 and 18 I never think that it's going to go in, but just take it like easy as I can. Like I'm not a good chipper, so 18 I decided to putting, but 10 I shoot it and I was surprise how good it is, that one.
Q. What has it been like preparing for this tournament to be coming and playing this tournament as a professional golfer now?
ATTHAYA THITIKUL: Well, it's amazing. Like I playing here when I was an Am, and when I turning pro. I would like to thank you Honda LPGA as well to invited me to be here, to be a part of Honda. Just be here and learning some experience, it's my chance to learning myself out there on the course as well.
Q. You've won on a professional tour before, twice on the Ladies European Tour, so you know what it means to be in contention. How confident are you heading into tomorrow's round?
ATTHAYA THITIKUL: Well, that win or every win that I had, it's like I learn from every tournament. I think I was -- I have to adapt in here, and like tomorrow my confident was so good, you know, but everyone can play better, everyone can play like 10-under, 7-under, whatever.
I think it's depend on is it my day or is it her day or is it like everyone days. But I just keep playing well, doing my best in every single day.
Q. What have you been working on as you got ready for this tournament?
ATTHAYA THITIKUL: Well, in off-season, last off-season, I have work from the distant control and to gain more distance for the driver, and it's have been a good way.
And the most important thing that I have been working, I want to improve, is my short game.
Q. As we wrap it up here, what does this tournament mean to you as a golfer and as someone from Thailand watching it as you grew up?
ATTHAYA THITIKUL: It's mean -- I think it's mean a lot to me and to all the Thai players because we play in here, this is the biggest woman tournament in Thailand, and normally we play in front of other Thai fans that they're cheering us.
Like it's so mean a lot because I feel like really proud to play out there in front of them and then representing Thailand.
