Q. You dovetailed well today.

CHARL SCHWARTZEL: We dovetailed well, yeah.

LOUIS OOSTHUIZEN: It sounds weird when you say it. (Laughter.)

Q. Looking ahead to tomorrow, was that the format you would like, given the situation that you're in, so close? Would you rather the more difficult and demanding of the two formats?

LOUIS OOSTHUIZEN: I mean, look, it's going to be tough tomorrow. I think anyone within four shots of the lead has got a chance with the format that it is tomorrow. It's going to be tough. We need to play really well.

The way the wind is the whole week, I think the golf course plays very tough, especially in alternate-shot.

Q. Charl, you've talked about how much golf you've played together and against each other. Does that almost make it easy when you're almost in a tense situation to have a partner that you're so familiar with?

CHARL SCHWARTZEL: Yeah, I think Louis obviously played really well in a lot of majors, and we've both won a lot of tournaments, and I feel like the more difficult it is, the better we both play, so the format for tomorrow in a way suits us, and if we execute the shots the way we see it, we'll have a good chance.

Q. Louis, you didn't make a birdie for quite a while. What got you going then?

LOUIS OOSTHUIZEN: It was a very rough first 10 holes for me. But yeah, then made a putt there on 11, and it sort of got us on a little run there, and Charl made two good putts on 12 and 13, and I just started hitting a few better shots.

I knew he was playing well, so I just tried to give us two chances at birdies. In the beginning it was all on him.

Q. Did you feel a good line at 17?

LOUIS OOSTHUIZEN: Yeah, the first look I had, I knew exactly the line, and I looked at it a couple times, but everything was just going back to that, and I felt like the line was fine, I just needed to hit it on it.

Now and then you get a putt like that where you feel like you're actually going to make it, you stand over it and just need to hit a good stroke. It was one of those.

Q. We've seen Jordan Spieth and Hideki on some long winless droughts. Do you feel like tomorrow you guys could do that? I know it's been a long time for you in the U.S.

LOUIS OOSTHUIZEN: I mean, it would be great. I do think it's going to be still tough tomorrow. We need to really play well. If you look at that leaderboard, there's great players up there, especially with tomorrow's format.

You know, I think we've got a good shot. We're playing really well. We're comfortable together. We just need to go do what we've been doing the last three days.

Q. What are your thoughts about having 72 holes of alternate-shot?

LOUIS OOSTHUIZEN: Well, I think you'll be taking two weeks off after it because you'll be so stressed. Look, I think it's great where you can catch up with better ball if you don't have a great alternate-shot round. You can actually definitely catch up with better ball, and then you need to play well again the next day, so I think it's really good the way the format is right now.
