Quick Quotes
Q. Brooke, solid round. Double bogey on 6 but bounced back immediately with two birdies. What did you tell yourself or what did and you Brit talk about to get back into the groove and then turn in a bogey-free back nine?
BROOKE HENDERSON: Yeah, you know, I think when you have bad holes like that it's really important to just stay patient and keep doing what you're doing.
I didn't really do anything wrong. I just kind of one shot got away from us and ended up making a big number. So just tried to stay in the moment and continue to hit good shots. I think it's really important to try to get birdies back right away, and really nice we were able to do that.
So we came through the turn at even par, which was good, and then on the back nine we just tried to get a bunch birdies, tried to climb up the leaderboard.
Q. It was day where scoring was at a premium. A lot red numbers, but it's your ones and twos, not necessarily fours or fives or sixes. How challenging were the conditions out there with the wind and how much did the course fight back?
BROOKE HENDERSON: Yeah, definitely found the winds a lot harder to judge today. Brit and I were working really hard out there trying to find which way it was going, because it seemed to be switching back and forth quite a bit.
Overall I think we did a good job with it. Yeah, I was surprised the scores weren't a little bit lower, but I'm happy that I was able to get to minus 4, and hopefully tomorrow just continue to make a lot of birdies.
Q. You've been working a lot on your game, putting especially. How nice is it to see some of those results start to reap the benefits and find yourself in the final grouping on a Sunday?
BROOKE HENDERSON: Yeah, super nice. Finally feeling a little bit comfortable with the putter. Really nice to finish my last few holes with a lot of long putts being made. It's really exciting just made a lot of birdies this week. Given myself a lot of great chances.
Hopefully tomorrow -- I'm a few shots back, but hopefully go out and continue to play solid golf, hit good shots, and see are it gets me.
Q. Last one know for you. You birdied the Aon Risk Reward hole every day. They move the tees up tomorrow. I would anticipate them doing the same tomorrow. Or they moved them up today; I anticipate them doing it tomorrow. How did it play today and what do you expect to try to do tomorrow?
BROOKE HENDERSON: Yeah, it's definitely interesting when they move it up. It's definitely reachable. I hit 5-iron today over the back, so hopefully just hit a good shot into the middle of the green there and try to make eagle.
