Q. Corey, congratulations. Wow, 30 on the inward nine; shot 7-under today. Just kind of take us through round. One blip on the card, but that was really good stuff today.

COREY CONNERS: Yeah, really happy with the round. Hit my irons really well and was able to roll in some putts. That was nice, to get a few extra on the second nine I played today, on the front side here.

Feel good about the game and really happy about the day.

Q. I thought you putted pretty good yesterday; today even more, over 90 feet worth of putts. Your thoughts on the green and how well you're putting them right now.

COREY CONNERS: Yeah, trying to keep things quick on the greens. There are a lot of subtle breaks here, but trying to putt with confidence and trust and be quick with my routine.

Feel like I'm seeing the lines pretty well, and very happy with how I'm rolling it.

Q. How different was the golf course this morning as opposed to yesterday afternoon?

COREY CONNERS: Yeah, it was a little cooler this morning. Ball wasn't traveling quite as far. Found the greens softened up just a little bit without the sunshine.

Overall, fairly similar. A little bit different wind direction -- complete opposite wind direction, I guess, made things different. But I've got some experience here playing different conditions, so wasn't anything I was surprised about.

Q. 11-under heading into the weekend. Well done.

COREY CONNERS: Thanks very much.

Q. 7-under for the day, 11-under for the tournament so far. What are your takeaways from a really impressive day of golf?

COREY CONNERS: Yeah, a lot of positives. Feel really good about my game. Hit a lot of really nice iron shots the past few days and felt really good with the putter as well.

Giving myself lots of chances and was really nice to see some go in. Hopefully can keep that up going into the weekend.

Q. Six birdies on the second nine. What was going on on that second nine?

COREY CONNERS: Yeah, just wasn't really forcing anything. Just tried to stay patient. Hit a lot of really good iron shots, which I've been doing for the last while. Gave myself some chances and was able to see the ball go in a few times.

Q. Yeah, more than a few times. You've been playing really consistent golf. We are constantly seeing your name at the top of the leaderboards. What kind of mindset did you bring to the golf course today?

COREY CONNERS: Yeah, definitely brought a lot of confidence from the last little while. I've been playing really well and just trust my game and play with the confidence that I have and good things are going to happen.

So hopefully keep that up for a few more days, but definitely feel like I'm in control.

Q. Is this as confident as you've ever been about your game?

COREY CONNERS: Yeah, I would say so. Feel like I'm hitting my lines really well off the tee with irons and on the greens, so, yeah, I would say this is as well as I've felt about everything for sure.
