Quick Quotes
Q. So how did it go out there for you today? What was it like?
CHARLES OSBORNE: It was all right. I kind of had a tough finish, but for the most part, I thought it was a pretty good first experience.
Q. You got some of those birdies on the par 4s that you were looking for, some unlikely ones at No. 9 and 11. Can you tell us about those holes?
CHARLES OSBORNE: Yeah, I hit a pretty good drive on 9 here and just had a little 56 in there and actually got it to go to about eight feet right above the hole. That's a fast putt, I think everybody knows that, but, yeah, I got that to go in.
11, just had a 9 iron in, hit a really good drive. Again, like a little fast putt down the hill. That was a good one too.
Q. What did you learn from this experience that you're going to take with you into the future?
CHARLES OSBORNE: I learned a lot from a lot of these guys out here. Kind of one of the main things I learned is not everybody's perfect. I played with the world's best, and you don't have to do everything perfect. You just kind of go about your game and do your thing. These guys are obviously really good, but I'm not that far off.
Q. What do you got going in the future? Walker Cup coming up?
CHARLES OSBORNE: I actually don't. I didn't make Walker Cup team. So I just got this NCAA, hopefully get going with the team there, and then some amateur stuff coming up.
Q. Do you go back to Tahoe in summers at all?
CHARLES OSBORNE: I do.
Q. Do you still do a lot of skiing?
CHARLES OSBORNE: I actually went up like three or four times with one of my buddies, Joey Versage, from back home, this past winter break, but my coach didn't love it.
Q. What's your favorite resort out there in Tahoe?
CHARLES OSBORNE: I grew up ski racing at Squaw Valley.
Q. Same score both days, but was there a difference? Did they feel different? The same?
CHARLES OSBORNE: I think 4 over yesterday was definitely better. It played a little tougher yesterday for sure. Today was a little more receptive. I was doing great up until I kind of turned around on -- I would say 14 was when it turned around. A couple bogeys here and there. I felt good out there, just kind of rattled off a couple bogeys and got on that train.
Q. How did you feel on the 1st tee? Coming off earlier this morning, were you a little more calm?
CHARLES OSBORNE: Yeah, coming off the 1st tee got a little easier as the week went on. Definitely easier than yesterday.
Q. A lot to take in. You'll take a lot of things with you. What are the one or two biggest take-aways or things that you'll remember?
CHARLES OSBORNE: Like I told him, I realized a lot of these guys are obviously really good at golf and the world's best, but they're not always perfect. So kind of take that away for sure. Honestly, this entire experience is awesome, just to get to tee it up at the Masters is kind of like a once-in-a-lifetime experience for sure.
Yeah, I'm going to take a ton away. I wouldn't say it's one thing or another. I just think it's a whole bunch of things all together.
Q. How much were you thinking about rolling in coming down the back nine?
CHARLES OSBORNE: Not too much. I was just kind of -- I was trying to do my thing. I know I was pretty close to the cut line, probably around 11. So I knew I had to kind of finish strong. I knew I needed a pretty good day to finish inside the cut line because it's playing a little easier. So I wasn't thinking about that too much.
Q. How do you put into words the last couple days? With your dad out here, that experience. Who knows if you'll get to do something like that again.
CHARLES OSBORNE: Yeah, I don't think I can put it into words. It's something we'll cherish forever, and I'm sure a lot of these guys have never had their dad on the bag before at the Masters. It's awesome to have him out here with me.
