Quick Quotes
Q. How would you assess your round today?
TYRRELL HATTON: Well, firstly, I'm really happy to finish under par. It was pretty tough out there. I mean, the greens are so fast. Yeah, it's just pretty hard to even hit a 15-foot putt kind of to lag it up. I haven't got the greatest of records around this place, so to start with an under par score, I'm pretty happy with.
Q. How do you go from not having a great record here to playing a really good round here on Thursday?
TYRRELL HATTON: Well, it's just golf. Every round you try your best. Although this isn't the course I particularly feel that comfortable on, certainly given with my previous record here, I'm happy with how it started and hoping that I can kind of play well tomorrow and then see how we go from there.
Q. Why do you think you haven't played your best here previously?
TYRRELL HATTON: Well, putting's generally been a strength of mine over the years, and I've never really putted that well. Just I read the putt, and I sort of hit it on the line I want to, and it's just -- obviously, I don't read them quite right.
I did struggle with the pace a little bit today, but I think everyone is, apart from Justin Rose the last ten holes. I think he felt like he was playing a different golf course, to be honest, when you see him making all those birdies. That's some round of golf.
Q. Did you see a 65 out there when you teed off today?
TYRRELL HATTON: No. I think, if you'd have given me under par round to start, I'd have been very happy kind of just walking back to the car and putting my feet up.
