Quick Quotes
Q. How was it out there? How were the conditions today?
KAREN FREDGAARD: It was hard, really hard. The wind was blowing like crazy, and the course played like harder on the front nine, which was different from yesterday. So just overall hard, I would say.
Q. Was it swirling? Did it gradually get worse?
KAREN FREDGAARD: I think it was worse in the beginning, but then it laid down a little bit in the end, but just because the back nine is more into the trees and a little more tight, so you don't feel the wind as much. But it was definitely playing very tough today.
Q. Are you happy about your position?
KAREN FREDGAARD: Yes, I'm very happy about getting to play a competitive round on Augusta National. I mean, I just missed a putt, but forget about it. It's good. I'm very happy, yes.
Q. So what are your thoughts about going to play at Augusta National? Do you have any plan on how you're going to prepare?
KAREN FREDGAARD: I'm just going to go out there and enjoy it tomorrow and learn as much as I can, possibly from the caddie, my caddie, and just take a lot of notes and everything like that and just enjoy it as well.
Q. Are you going to keep the same caddie?
KAREN FREDGAARD: Yes.
Q. You had a pretty long day.
KAREN FREDGAARD: Yes.
Q. How are you feeling right now after that?
KAREN FREDGAARD: I mean, it's not that bad. I'm used to playing 36 holes. So I could go out and just take that 18 over again and do it again. Yeah, I'm pretty happy right now about the result.
Q. You had such a nice start this morning. Was it an advantage in any way to get some good vibes flowing early?
KAREN FREDGAARD: It was kind of crazy because I practiced in the dark on the putting green, and I was thinking, I might as well not hit any putts because it doesn't make any sense, and then I made three putts on the three holes that I played. So I guess that went pretty well.
So, yeah, it was nice going out knowing that I had a good score and just keep taking advantage of just the back nine and trying to stay in it.
Q. Last time we saw you this morning, you were headed to the car to take a nap. Did that happen?
KAREN FREDGAARD: I didn't really fall asleep honestly. I was just preparing to be on the 1st tee. But I definitely just took some time to relax, so that was good.
