Q. Terrence, can you just speak to the journey y'all have made to this point and just what Coach Beard had told you after the game, you guys have gone through so much adversity to get to this point.
TERRENCE SHANNON: It all started in the summer with COVID, and we all fought to stay in our bubble and we stayed disciplined. And we just been following Beard the whole way. Some people left, but we all stayed together and we all fought till the end.
Q. In terms of fighting to the end, can you speak to what you were able to do making that comeback and having that chance that Coach Beard always talks about?
TERRENCE SHANNON: Coach tells us foul and defend. He said we going to win the game on the offensive end if we get stops. And that's what we did, but we didn't capitalize at the end.
Q. What did you see out there tonight, scoring 20 points and leading the team?
TERRENCE SHANNON: I just -- I just read the defense and I made shots when my team got me open and they told me to take open shots, and that's what I did. I missed some. I took some tough shots and I take the blame for that and I got to gather and just throw it up.
Yeah, I just happened to score tonight.
Q. Coach Beard and Coach Adams love focussing on defense. What started working for you late in the game? You started scoring to come back, but also holding Arkansas to very few makes to be able to get back in the game.
TERRENCE SHANNON: In the beginning they were getting a lot of offensive rebounds, and in the second half, too, and they told us we got to box out and rebound, and be aggressive, but don't foul. I feel like we executed that well in the end, and just resulted with a loss.
