Q. What does it say about this team that you ladies just continued to fight and claw your way the entire second half and come out with the win?

GABBY ELLIOTT: It shows the heart of the team. We never gave up, and we fought until the clock said 00, and it paid off at the end.

Q. Kendall didn't have necessarily a Kendall night tonight from three-point, but she battled through adversity tonight and hit that big three at the end. What's that say about her?

GABBY ELLIOTT: It says a lot about Kendall, her being a senior and just playing no matter what, and also as a person, as a shooter. We believe in her no matter what. Off night, on night, we want Kendall to shoot the ball, and she did that, and it paid off.

Q. You said your career high in your first-ever ACC Tournament game. What's your mindset going into the game?

GABBY ELLIOTT: Just to get the W and do whatever my team needs, whether that's scoring, rebounding. We want to be alive as long as we can, and that's what we're trying to do right now.

Q. Talk about your defense; y'all held Notre Dame to nine points in the fourth quarter and you went to that 2-3 zone which really kind of shut down Mabrey.

GABBY ELLIOTT: Defense is what we needed. Offense is going to come and we knew that. That's all we really talked about. It starts with our defense and it showed today. That's what we worked on so much in practice, and it paid off, and we were happy to see that.

Q. Your scoring is huge for the team but you move well without the ball. You were all over the place just trying to fight and get open. Do you work on that during practice?

GABBY ELLIOTT: Yeah, that's kind of just been my thing to like keep moving. The ball is going to find you no matter what, so just keep moving. And whether that's to move to get a rebound or move to get a shot, you've got to keep moving.

Q. Big win tonight, late night. What's your mindset trying to kind of just forget about this one and move on to tomorrow?

GABBY ELLIOTT: Go get COVID tested and rest up. Of course we're going to look at scout to see what we've got tomorrow, but right now, biggest thing that we need right now is rest.
