Q. It felt like you came up with the big moments of the contest when things were kind of lackluster you could hear your team on the bench going crazy after you scored in that second half. How did it feel to give your team that lift that the Hokies really needed?

D'ASIA GREGG: Only thing I was really focused on was just winning the game. I didn't really care how it happened, as long as we win the game. Luckily it just falled in for me.

Q. You beat them pretty badly in the regular season. Was the game plan pretty much the same this time around? Obviously you jumped on them again pretty early in the first half.

D'ASIA GREGG: Yeah, it's the same. We know how Miami get out with the press and like how they do on offense, like they like fast break, so we just stick to the game plan and that's how we came out with the dub.

Q. What made that type of defense so good today?

D'ASIA GREGG: We helped each other, communicating.

Q. How concerning was it -- obviously Sheppard leaves the game the second quarter; doesn't play the rest of the game. How did that affect the team's mentality there?

D'ASIA GREGG: I don't think it really affected us. I mean, we knew we had to win at the end of the day. It's one-game elimination. We couldn't just sit and pout. We had to play.

Q. What did it say about the team that you were able to not have one of your best players for the whole second half and you still won the game?

D'ASIA GREGG: I feel like our team is balanced, so it really doesn't matter who doesn't really have a good game because we have a team full who can go off any day.

With that, I feel like that's hard to beat us when we tune in and like lock in and do what we've got to do. I feel like we're the best team out there.

Q. Obviously this is one of your best games of the season. What enabled you to be so effective today scoring and on the boards?

D'ASIA GREGG: I was just trying to win.
