Q. Alyssa, give us a few thoughts on your first ACC Tournament game and then we'll take some questions.

ALYSSA USTBY: This was an exciting match up. I think Janelle kind of described the game best, that we just had a bad game, and unfortunately it was the first one of the ACC Tournament. But we're hungry. We're ready for the next one.

Q. Coach talked about this year has been a constant learning process, so even with a great scoring performance tonight but a loss, what did you take away from today's game?

ALYSSA USTBY: There's a lot of things I took away, especially defensively. I think right off the jump Wake was executing their sets, they were getting open looks, and a lot of that I take on myself, because I wasn't in the right spot, I gave her a foot to shoot, she took advantage of that space to score.

So I think there's a lot of things personally that I really could have done better, especially on the defensive end.

Q. Early I think you were talking about the defense, I believe Coach was talking to you during one of those time-outs about the defense. What was her message to you at that point?

ALYSSA USTBY: Yeah, so they were just trying to help me get my angles better on switching screens, and that's something I didn't execute right off the bat in this game, which hurt us.

Q. This was your best game since NC State. Seemed like you were just trying to will the victory for the Tar Heels. Do you feel like this was one of your better overall games of the season?

ALYSSA USTBY: I would say it was my better offensive game, but not defensively. But today was just about working hard, hustle plays. And when you get to this ACC Tournament time, it's all for your seniors. It's for our greatest leader, Janelle Bailey, who's done so much for our team and a lot for me personally and kind of helping me learn along the way throughout the season to be ready for a night like this.
