Chonburi, Thailand
Q. Wonderful opening round. You were just saying how hot it was out there. You should be used to this.
ARIYA JUTANUGARN: Actually so hot and not very used to it, but I love everything here.
Q. Lovely round, round of 66. We thought in particular on the back nine you gave yourself so many chances. How pleased are you with how you're hitting the ball?
ARIYA JUTANUGARN: I feel really good with my iron today. Like especially tee shot is pretty good. I just try to like have like myself have a chance to make birdie.
The green is pretty tough to read also.
Q. You had a fabulous shot on the front nine on the par-5, 7: a 2-iron into the green to set yourself up with an eagle chance. That must have felt good?
ARIYA JUTANUGARN: Yeah, actually 3-iron.
Q. 3-iron? My gosh. Even less.
ARIYA JUTANUGARN: Yes, it's feel pretty good. I hit that one solid. I love that shot a lot.
Q. This course obviously suits you. You've got so many fans out here. Do you have family with you?
ARIYA JUTANUGARN: Yeah, my mom and my sister are here.
Q. How much does it help having the fans clap you every step of the way?
ARIYA JUTANUGARN: You know, it feel great. I feel really grateful to be here. All the fan, they try to support all the Thai golfer here.
