MOLLY HANNIS: Going out, controlled, knowing that I was going to be behind in the 100 or so, probably be in fourth, maybe fifth and just take the (Away from mic.) And hopefully finishing hard on the last 50.
Q. What's it like to compete against Lilly this year?
MOLLY HANNIS: She has been incredible, just improving one race after another after another and I knew it was going to be a tough one against her and Micah and that whole heat is -- Lilly has already made the team, so I knew she was there and ready to go.

MOLLY HANNIS: They have all been amazing and pushed me to where I'm at.

MOLLY HANNIS: I figured I was closing pretty well with how my semi swim went. I kinda wanted to build off that and use the same strategy -- (Away from mic.) A couple times in that last 50. So like I said, finishing strong was the goal.

MOLLY HANNIS: I was hoping, but she is an amazing closer, so I knew it was going to be a really tough run.

MOLLY HANNIS: I think I've said this before, (Away from mic.) Wasn't exactly what I wanted in terms of I wanted to honor her in the best way I could, and by getting third I didn't feel like I quite got it there, but Pat, one of my coaches, said something like, "You're not done. You've got the 200 left," so I really wanted to finish it for her, and I'm thrilled to be on the team.
