GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS MEDIA CONFERENCE

September 30, 2024

Quinten Post

San Francisco, California, USA

Media Conference

Q. Coming into camp, obviously you finished up Summer League getting a couple games under your belt. How crucial was getting some experience before finishing up your off-season coming in for camp?

QUINTEN POST: Yeah, really good. I think just seeing those guys play, I thought we were playing really well up until then, and then just to get some reps within kind of the system, it's probably not exactly the same, but just playing under the guys that were there, the coaches, I thought it was really good.

Q. Obviously there's been some scrimmages the past couple weeks. What are your early impressions of this group? How have you felt out there?

QUINTEN POST: Ups and downs, man. There's days that have been really rough. These guys can play. Steph lives up to the name; Draymond, all of them, they're really good. But I'm trying to hold my own. I bring something to the table that I think is valuable, and like I said, ups and downs. I'm learning and asking questions, so hoping to get better every day.

Q. What are your goals or benchmarks you have for your rookie season?

QUINTEN POST: Try and get in the rotation is my main goal, I think. Super excited to be here. Now trying to get my foot down in the league. Yeah, playing.

Q. How much do you feel that a need for not just youth and opportunity for young players but also your size? The team historically is not very big. Do you feel like there's a need you can fill, I guess?

QUINTEN POST: I don't know if it's a need. I mean, they've won three championships -- four championships, thank you. Four championships in the last 10 years. And they've done it without size.

I don't know if there's a need, but I think it's interesting for them, and for me I think I can bring something to the table with my size and my shooting.

I don't think there's a need, but I think that I can help.

Q. What do you think of the Bay Area and how are you getting your footing around here?

QUINTEN POST: I love it, man. It's beautiful. One of the first things I did was walk the Golden Gate Bridge. Everybody that I've met who knows the Warriors is so excited for me to be here and super grateful with the way I've been welcomed. More excited to kind of explore more of the city. I haven't been to the Golden Gate Park yet. I've heard that's beautiful. Overall just really good impressions.
