Q. Carlos, curious just after the Orlando game, what did you see from your team just in the first half defensively with the struggles and how do you think the team is going to respond this weekend in Seattle after a tough defensive performance in Orlando?
CARLOS TERÃN: It was a difficult game. Orlando plays very good. This is soccer. We take a bad decision and for us, it's difficult because we have a target and we want to work for that. When we have that game, like Orlando, it's difficult for us, for the defense. But for the team, for the club. But this is past.
The next game is Seattle and we need to go there and do our work.
Q. In recent games, the team has been playing with three center backs. It seems that you've been doing really well with that system. Does your role, does your job change with the extra center back on the pitch?
CARLOS TERÃN: When we play with two, it's a little bit different, but that's soccer. This is soccer. Anything -- anything formational, we need to do the work and play. For me, it's the same, play with three, play with two. It's the same for me. And the coach, he tells me what he wants, and I do it.
Q. Talk about the challenges of playing on artificial turf and then coming back to grass in the next few games.
CARLOS TERÃN: I played on that field from younger. So I don't mind if it's ground or artificial. It's the same for me. Everybody says it's a good field. We go to there and enjoy.
Q. What are your thoughts on Colombia in the Copa America, and would you like to be on the team?
CARLOS TERÃN: I'm very happy for Colombia. Colombia is a great team. The energy is crazy. They had a chance to win the Cup. We have been working for that. For every player in Colombia, it's amazing how the players do the work on the field. I am Colombian, so I am very happy and I'm very happy for that. I have -- for the team, I'm very happy for them.
I want to play for the national team. I work for that. I know the level there is definitely difficult. I need to work for that. That's the solution. Working and enjoy work and for now, I know that I don't have that in my mind because I know that I need to do my work in Chicago Fire go to the national team to that decision is difficult for me. I've got to work hard for that. I want to go to the national team and with all the players there at that excellent level.
Q. We spoke with Frank earlier about the different tactics used against different opponents. Is that something -- how do you feel playing in the different formations or different change in tactics ahead of every game?
CARLOS TERÃN: Well, that's not my job. If Frank wants me to do something, I'm going to do it. Basically I am the player, and I'm the one that's going to go out there and if he wants me to do something I'm going to put it into practice and I'm going to do it.
Anything that involves changing formations or any decision about how we play, whether it's three, whether it's four, whether it's two, whatever, we use to go on the field, anything that happens, the decisions about how we play is Frank's decision. And if he tells me what he wants me to do on the field, my job is to do it.
